1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing or using ChaseLight ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please stop using the app.
2. Description of Service
The app is a photography companion that provides sunrise & sunset times, golden hour, blue hour, sun-path planning, dawn & dusk glow forecasts, weather and tide references, Milky Way window assessments, spot management and shooting plans.
3. Forecasts Are for Reference Only
Glow scores, Milky Way visibility, tide estimates and shooting-suitability ratings provided by the app are predictive references based on public data and algorithms:
- Results may differ from actual conditions due to sudden weather changes, terrain occlusion or data-source inaccuracies;
- Tide information is a rough estimate based on astronomical tidal forces and must not be used for navigation, wading or any safety-critical decision;
- Always rely on actual on-site conditions and official warnings when planning shoots and travel.
The app accepts no liability for any direct or indirect loss arising from reliance on its forecasts, including but not limited to wasted trips or equipment damage.
4. Pro & In-App Purchases
- Pro is sold through the App Store; the price shown on the purchase page prevails;
- Your purchase is bound to your Apple ID and can be restored anytime via Settings → Pro → Restore Purchase;
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its refund policy — please use "Report a Problem" on the App Store;
- We may expand the Pro feature set in the future, but we will not remove core capabilities of the version you purchased.
5. Your Data
The spots, plans, logs and settings you create in the app belong to you. They are stored on your device by default, or in your private iCloud database if you enable sync. Please back up regularly (the app offers "Export Full Backup"). We cannot recover data lost due to device loss, damage or accidental deletion.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Decompile, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the app's source code (except as permitted by law);
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose;
- Interfere with the app's normal operation in any way.
7. Intellectual Property
The app's interface design, icon, copy and code are the intellectual property of the developer. Your photographs and the spot data you create remain yours.
8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages; our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you actually paid for Pro.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. Revised versions will be posted on this page with the revision date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
